David Wild
2025 Recipient of the FP Canada Award of Distinction

Dave Wild dedicated his career to serving and protecting consumers of financial services. He led the establishment of Canada’s first integrated financial services regulator, bringing together securities, insurance, financial institution, and pension regulators. He served for many years as the Chair and CEO of the Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan.

Dave is Past Chair of the Joint Forum of Financial Market Regulators. Under his leadership, the Joint Forum developed the “Fund Facts” disclosure documents for mutual and segregated funds, as well as the Capital Accumulation Guidelines for defined contribution pension plans and other collective investment products. Dave also served twice as Chair of the Canadian Association of Pension Supervisory Authorities.

More recently, prior to his retirement, Dave led the organization responsible for the administration of several large Saskatchewan public sector pension plans, including the largest defined contribution pension plan in Canada.
