The Board has 11 members with diverse backgrounds that are relevant to achieving FP Canada’s purpose. Currently, the Board’s composition includes:

  • four Certified Financial Planner® professionals
  • one Qualified Associate Financial Planner™ professional
  • two public directors
  • two directors-at-large
  • two financial planners (F.Pl.) licensed in the province of Québec.

Candidates for the Board are recommended by the Board Development Committee. Board members are not compensated for their work, and serve up to two, three-year terms. The Board appoints a Chair from within its ranks each year.

Jeff is a principal at Cormier Wealth Management, a boutique financial planning firm. With over 18 years of experience, he specializes in advanced financial planning for business owners and professionals.

Jeff holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and a BBA in Finance from Université de Moncton. He has been actively involved with FP Canada™ since 2012, serving as Chair of the Exam Panel, Conduct Review Panel, and Projection Assumption Guidelines Committee.

Based in Moncton, NB, Jeff has served over 21 years as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve and sits on the board of La Fondation Louis-J.-Robichaud. He is also an active instrument-rated private pilot and supports various aviation-related charitable causes.
