The purpose of the Board Development Committee is to foster Board effectiveness by:

  • facilitating the effective functioning of the Board and enhancing the quality of Board governance, communications, engagement and collaboration, while fostering an effective Board/CEO relationship
  • leading board succession planning
  • establishing and assessing Director qualifications
  • identifying and recruiting qualified Board, Officer, Committee and Panel candidates
  • measuring Board performance
  • overseeing the orientation and continuing education of Directors
  • developing, reviewing and revising (as necessary) Board Policies and By-laws

Paul has more than 20 years of experience in wealth management. He is currently the Head of BMO Wealth Planning, Trust and Insurance Advisory Services. He previously held the position of President and Managing Director of BMO Estate Insurance Advisory Services, where he still currently serves on their board as an executive member. 

Paul’s deep understanding of the industry and his constant focus around excellence allows him to guide advisors in delivering an exceptional client experience. His approach to leadership emphasizes coaching, learning, development and empowering his team to disrupt the industry by driving change and focusing on advice to help clients grow, protect and preserve their wealth.

Paul received his financial planning (F.Pl.) designation in 2011. He also holds a B. Comm. Finance and International Business from McGill University and currently volunteers for Fondation Autiste et Majeur.
