Hearing Panel Roster

Shelly Feld is General Counsel, head of legal services and a member of the executive management team at the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council ("OMVIC"), Ontario's motor vehicle sales regulator.  In this role, Shelly directs a legal team comprised of more than 20 staff who prosecute provincial offences before the provincial courts of Ontario, registration appeals before the Licence Appeal Tribunal and disciplinary proceedings before the OMVIC Discipline Tribunal.  Previously, Shelly was Director, Chief Litigation Counsel at the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization ("CIRO") and its predecessor, the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (the "MFDA"). Over a 20 year period, Shelly conducted and directed disciplinary proceedings against mutual fund dealers and dealing representatives (mutual fund salespersons) before CIRO and MFDA hearing panels and provincial securities commissions across Canada. Shelly has also been a member of speaker panels at the Advocates' Society, the Ontario Bar Association and to train legal clinic volunteers at the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall law schools.
