The Standards Panel is responsible for, and has delegated responsibility from the Board over:

  • The Standards of Professional Responsibility, including associated guidance
  • The FP Canada Standards Council™ Competency Profiles
  • The FP Canada Standards Council Projection Assumption Guidelines Committee which is responsible for maintaining and updating the Projection Assumption Guidelines

A Chartered Director and Certified Financial Planner® professional, Margie also holds an MBA from Columbia University and the GCB.D Global ESG designation, supporting her boards and clients to amplify their impact in creating a net-zero/real-zero world. She has volunteered with FP Canada™ for many years in several different roles.

Madhuri is a tireless advocate for community and diversity, volunteering as a Mentor for the DFS Professional Women’s Group, ambassador for Women Get on Board, Inc., and Coach for RISE on Boards for young directors, all of which drive leadership participation of under-represented groups. She was recently awarded the 2024 BMO Celebrating Women on Boards award.

She currently serves on both the Boards of the Canada Revenue Agency and LIFT Impact Partners.
