Long-term dedication can lead to extraordinary accomplishments. The Donald J. Johnston Lifetime Achievement Award honours the lifetime contributions of those who’ve positively contributed to FP Canada’s certifications and the financial planning profession.
What Nominators Should Know
Are you thinking of nominating a professional for the Donald J. Johnston Lifetime Achievement Award? If so, the nomination package should demonstrate that the nominee has met the following criteria:
- They’ve demonstrated leadership and had a tangible, far-reaching impact on the profession and the public it serves. Nominees must have done so through inspiring increased industry, advisor, and/or consumer recognition of the importance of financial planning and the positioning of FP Canada certifications as the standard to which planners must be held.
- They’ve made a significant direct contribution in support of the work of FP Canada
- They’ve had a positive impact on the end users of financial services or the industry and organizations through which these services are widely offered
The Donald J. Johnston Lifetime Achievement Award won’t be awarded to, and cannot be held by, an individual who has a substantiated complaint with FP Canada; a disciplinary history with FP Canada or the Autorité des marches financiers (AMF); or a disciplinary history with another regulator, professional body, or SRO.
