Carolyn Fallis, CFP®

Carolyn Fallis is a professor of financial planning at the School of Accounting and Finance at George Brown College. Previously, she served as Director, Professional & Student Affairs at the Financial Planning Standards Council (now FP Canada™). In that role, she was responsible for establishing pre-and post-certification education requirements for Certified Financial Planner® certification. She holds the CPA designation, a Master of Taxation (MTax), and CFP® certification.

Carolyn has also held various financial management positions in the financial services sector. She continues to provide advice-only financial and income tax planning to a small client base.

Currently, Carolyn is Chair of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Foundation for Financial Planning™ and has served on various committees and the board of directors at FP Canada. She’s also Chair of the Education Advisory Committee at the Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB), a non-profit that serves as the leader of the global financial planning profession. Carolyn was awarded the FP Canada Fellow™ distinction in 2011, its inaugural year, for her contributions to the profession.
