Ahmad Bakhshai, CFP, is a Financial Planning educator and an advocate for financial literacy. He is also the recipient of numerous industry awards.

Ahmad currently serves as a Wealth Advisor at BMO Private Wealth. He has also acted as a Financial Consultant at a national financial services firm and is a member of the executive team at the Estate Planning Council of Eastern Ontario and the Queen’s Business Club.

Ahmad’s passion for Financial Planning education led him to his ongoing role as an Adjunct Professor at Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. He is an alumnus who also earned a Bachelor of Commerce honours degree from Queen’s. He has been a guest speaker at the Estate Planning Council of Eastern Ontario and a presenter and host for workshops at BMO Private Wealth.

He volunteers for financial literacy programs in the Kingston area and helps to promote financial literacy as a volunteer ambassador for the Junior Economic Club of Canada. At Behaviour in Action at Rotman (BEAR), Ahmad also performed research as a volunteer.

Ahmad’s direct contributions to FP Canada™ include volunteering for several committees. Through this work, he’s contributed to technical content for FP Canada’s education programs, developed questions for the CFP exam, and scored CFP exams.

In addition to holding Certified Financial Planner® certification, Ahmad is a CFA® Charterholder who has also earned the TEP, CLU, and FCSI designations.
