Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions about post-secondary education requirements for FP Canada's certifications.

In 2019, FP Canada™ announced a Post-Secondary Education Requirement for those working towards CFP® Certification (minimum 3-year bachelor’s degree) or QAFP® Certification (minimum 2-year college diploma). The post-secondary education requirements came into effect on April 1, 2022, subject to transition provisions which extend this deadline, for certain individuals who meet set requirements, either to March 31, 2024, or December 31, 2024.
